Oh, I just love ASOU Kai's works! I think one of the reasons I like the works of hers that you mentioned is because although they are 'realistic' to a point (not as fanciful as some, and the action usually takes place in the world as we know it), these also have some element of hopefullness. (Future Lovers has this aspect also). I like to read something that shows us how the characters grow and develop, and how they come to see others in a different light. I enjoy seeing relationships grow and change over time.
